Many of you know that Sister Joan Polak, ND is back in Omaha after many years of service in Honduras. Even though she has returned, the Notre Dame Sisters commitment to the mission has not ended. Once a year Sister has the opportunity to return and visit the Center along with a group of youth who go to Honduras to participate in and implement a water project.
Many needs still exist, including the basic needs of food and clean water. We continue to be concerned, especially for the children in the Center of Malnourished Children. It is our commitment that keeps the center open, but we cannot do it alone. Please watch for more information in the coming months on the children served in this Center, the services they are receiving due to our support and ways you can help the Notre Dame Sisters support this extremely worthwhile project.
