What We Do
We are involved in a wide range of service ministries. Guiding our areas of service are our charism "to meet unmet needs," our direction in the American Province to work to eliminate family violence and our history of support for women and families. All this is balanced with our talents and resources, our commitment to the poor and to particular circumstances.
We use the discernment process to evaluate our ministries and to begin new ones, always looking at how we are best spreading God's love in the Church and the world. Major apostolic commitments and directions within the province are discussed and determined at community meetings. Individual ministries are determined in dialogue with the community administration.
The gifts we bring to our ministry include the support of the entire community by prayer, shared wisdom and networking to use the talents of other members. We also are free and challenged to make prophetic stances in answer to the gospel call. We share our love with all with whom we work; we realize those we serve often give us more than we give them.
