Often, when someone dies, we feel as if there is nothing we can
do to show our sympathy, or to comfort the bereaved family. Now, there
is something you can do - enroll the deceased in the Notre Dame Sisters
Memorial Association. In doing so, you will honor and preserve the memory
of the deceased, as well as enabling the Sisters to continue in their
ministry.
What is the Memorial Association, and what does it do?
The Memorial Association exists to remember our deceased loved ones, to
offer comfort and sympathy to the family and friends of the deceased,
and to honor the deceased person by furthering the good works of the Notre
Dame Sisters in his or her name.
A beautiful card is sent to the family of the deceased, or the person
that you designate to receive the card, announcing your memorial gift.
The deceased person who has been entered into the Memorial Association
is remembered in the daily prayers of the Sisters.
Monthly there is a special Eucharistic Liturgy offered in the Notre Dame
Chapel for all who have ever been entered into the Memorial Association.
On the first Sunday of each November a special Liturgy is offered for
those who have been entered into the Memorial Association that past 12
months. After you have entered someone in the Memorial Association, you
will receive an invitation to this Liturgy. If you designated that the
family of the deceased should be notified of your gift, they will also
receive an invitation to this healing Memorial Liturgy.
The name of the honored deceased is inscribed in a Memorial Book that
is kept in the main lobby of the Notre Dame Convent as a public testimonial
that a gift was made in his or her honor.
How can I enroll someone?
