On May 23, Support the Notre Dame Sisters During Omaha Gives
Omaha Gives! is an online giving platform organized by the Omaha Community Foundation to grow philanthropy in Douglas, Sarpy, and Pottawattamie counties. Each year, there is a 24-hour online giving event in May to celebrate nonprofits. This year's giving day will take place on Wednesday, May 23, 2018. The goal is to inspire the community to come together for 24-hours to give as much as possible to support the work of public 501(c)(3) nonprofits in the metro area. The minimum donation is $10 and there is no maximum. Prizes and challenge funds amplify charitable donations to make each dollar go further. Search for the Notre Dame Sisters profile, and the profiles of all your favorite nonprofits at OmahaGives.org.
The Notre Dame Sisters are grade school, high school and college teachers, hospital and addictions chaplains, nurse practitioners, home nurses, parish pastoral ministers, sponsors of low income older adult housing, massage therapists and administrators of religious education programs. We serve on various boards of institutions whose work aligns with our ministry; we give volunteer service to parishes, projects and organizations whose goals match ours, including Safe Homes which provides first month rent and utility down payments for families leaving domestic violence shelters, and, leadership to the Coalition on Human Trafficking. Because we believe that we are apostles throughout life, our "retired" Sisters are involved in many volunteer ministries and are active in prayer and memorial ministry. Your donation supports these ministries, and helps the Sisters in their outreach to those with unmet needs.
Thank you for participating in Omaha Gives!
