Notre Dame Associates
The Associate Program of the Notre Dame Sisters provides an opportunity for persons who are not canonical members of the Notre Dame Order to enter into a formal relationship with the congregation.
Associates experience a call to, and resonate with, the charism of the Notre Dame Sisters, sharing in their mission and goals.
Associates and Sisters form a mutual relationship of support and the challenge to live out the Gospel commitment of the Notre Dame Sister through their charism, tradition, history and mission.
Through mutual support in prayer, community and ministry, Notre Dame Sisters and Associates share in the Notre Dame spirit of being people of faith, living like Mary in dependence on God and in joyful, loving service to others.
Associates are men and women who are 18 years of age or older of any race, culture, Christian belief, married, single or clergy who make a formal commitment with specified goals over a period of time. There is no financial requirement for Associates in the program.
Notre Dame Associates Mission
We accept from God the call to this relationship with the Notre Dame Sisters, accomplished in our lives through prayer, personal reflection and faith sharing, community involvement, hospitality and dependence on God.
Associate Program Goals
Associate members and the Sisters gather monthly to share in community, service, prayer and ministry. We also gather annually for a retreat day, to celebrate commitments of new and renewing members and a day to re-energize and have fun.
