The Alumnae Reunion of 2003 was the 75th anniversary of high school graduation for Sr. Dolores Pavlik, ND. Sr. Dolores was in the first graduating class of Notre Dame Academy, the Class of 1928. She is the only surviving member of that class. Sr. Dolores taught and was principal at Notre Dame Academy. The Class of 1963, also celebrating a special anniversary, honored Sr. Dolores with a class gift.
Two other Sisters celebrating anniversaries were Sr. Germaine Drapal, ND (pictured at left) and Sr. Consolata Sonka, ND

Celebrating and reminiscing

Class of 1968

The 2003 Reunion began in the morning with homemade rolls and fruit for brunch. After brunch the alumnae joined the Sisters in a brisk and laughter-filled game of bunco. By the time the game was finished everyone was comfortable and re-acquainted with former classmates and guests of alumnae. The rest of the morning was a leisurely time during which alumnae toured the former school building and grounds, browsed the gift shop, or chatted with Sisters and friends. Lunch was also prepared by the Sisters' Kitchen, and alumnae lingered into the afternoon over the delicious chicken and tuna salads and vegetable trays.

At 5:00 p.m. the Liturgy planned by the Class of 1963 began. With music by Mary Sramek Levesque and singing by former members of the Concert Choir, this was truly a wonderful liturgy.

The Class of 1963 (pictured above) celebrating their 40th reunion, began preparations more than a year before the reunion. Their work paid off as the former classmates spent a delightful, fun-filled and meaningful weekend together.

The evening banquet was catered by Hap Abraham. Sr. Dolores Pavlik spoke about the beginnings of Notre Dame Academy and her years as principal and teacher at Notre Dame. On behalf of the Class of 1963, Barbara Burke presented a class gift to Sr. Dolores.

The Annual Alumnae Reunion takes place on the fourth Saturday of June in the Alumnae Hall. Please contact the Alumnae Office if you would like to begin advance planning for a special reunion for your class.
