As
associates of the Notre Dame Sisters, we are adult Christian women and
men who publicly enter into a relationship with the Notre Dame Sisters
to live and promote Gospel values while responding to unmet needs.
Bringing together the gifts and talents of the Notre Dame Associates and
the Notre Dame Sisters, we grow in prayer, community, and service as we
strive to build a world community of love and support.
Together we believe in a spirituality that:
- recognizes that God first loves us,
- empowers us to take risks out of a conviction of God's fidelity,
- affirms the dignity of all people,
- calls us to a Christian use of our resources in responsibility to
the poor,
- encourages each person to use her/his unique gifts in service to
others,
- calls us to reflect upon the joys and sorrows of our own lives in
light of Christ's death and resurrection,
- recognizes the example of Mary, a disciple who openly responded to
God's action in her life, and
- recognizes that it is in relationship that we come to know our God
and to reach out to others' needs.
